Call to Prayer Sunday 22nd March

Covid-19 Update 18th March

The Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales have issued the following letter. After Friday 20th March there will be NO public Masses/Liturgies Celebrated in our Church buildings, although there will be times when they are open for personal prayer. Details about this will follow as soon as possible.

Confirmation 2019

Congratulations to the 23 young people from Runcorn and Frodsham who were Confirmed by Bishop Brian on Tuesday 24th September at St. Edward’s! It was tricky trying to get the Confirmands from St. Maximilian to all look at the camera at the same time! (Sadly a couple disappeared before the photo was taken!)

St. Stephen’s Guild

Our Altar servers were enrolled into the Guild of St. Stephen last weekend! They proudly made their Guild Promises and received their medals.

For Rent!

The hut behind the Church is available to rent – see the advert below.

Parishioners from various ministry groups attended the 3 day Adoremus Congress this past weekend (7-9th) hearing many inspiring talks. The highlight for most was hearing Bishop Robert Barron speak on Saturday. He spoke about the Mass – the Source and Summit and Three Paths to Holiness. You can listen to both talks by clicking the link below.

The three days came to a close with Mass at the Metropolitan Cathedral followed by a Eucharistic procession with the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction.

Congratulations to Michael who was Baptised, Confirmed and received the Eucharist for the First time at the Easter Vigil last night.

Below are our entries for the Easter Egg competition which was judged this morning. Thanks to all the children who entered!
